Olivine

The first precinct of Mirvac’s new Olivine community includes a 3.4 hectare district park and wetland. As a centrepiece to the park sits a major play space that offers multi-layered, sensory and adventure-play experiences with extensive climbing structures and naturalistic spaces. The Iconic Gumnut structures rise strikingly from the play space and are clad in a complex outer layer consisting of thousands of recycled timber battens creating a strongly geometric yet highly organic character.

Awarded the 2020 Australian Timber Award (Landscape category) with the jury citation noting 'incredible detailing, fantastic use of the (timber) material and an incredibly fun design'
