A major extension to an existing sports facility in Balwyn in association with Williams Ross Architects has enabled reconsideration of the entry sequence and plaza space. Providing a clear and legible address for this challenging site has been crucial to the success of the project, with the forecourt now providing clarity and a foreground setting to a dramatically animated timber façade. Deciduous shade trees will eventually cast a dappled light across this compelling architectural gesture.
