Bairnsdale

Drawing on the work undertaken by MDG in 2011 as part of the Reimaging Bairnsdale masterplan is the implementation of the Nicholson Street Mall, bringing a strong modern aesthetic to the Bairnsdale CBD. The Mall is conceived primarily as a flexible gathering space, employing a variety of dimensions and spatial qualities to create a protected oasis in the centre of town. New assertive structures at either end of the Mall provide a sense of balance and encourage activation.
